Dr. Bruce Rankin, DO, CPI, FACOFP has been in the Medical Research industry for 25 years and has been a Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) for 20 years. He graduated in the first class at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has 36 years’ experience in private practice in Family Medicine with offices in Florida. He has been involved in over 500 IRB approved clinical trials as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator. He has been involved with the development of hundreds of new FDA approved medications used today for medical treatments. His recent research work includes participation with multiple COVID-19 vaccine early phase clinical trials and novel new treatments in Alzheimer and Parkinson disease. He oversees the Accel Clinical Research Unit that conducts Phase 1-4 clinical trials. He has helped train physicians as Principal Investigators. He is Past President of the Florida Society of American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Past Chief of Staff at Advent Hospital Deland, 1st Vice President for the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA), Delegate to the American Osteopathic Association, and awarded FOMA’s Physician of the Year for 2022.
